I left in a hurry and came back on a mission.
Now twice… the first time, I evacuated from Hurricane Irma and just two weeks ago, I evacuated again from Hurricane Dorian. Being from a part of the country where tornados are prevalent and you receive little warning, I take advanced warnings seriously.
Let’s rewind back so I can bring you up to speed on where I’ve been and where I’m headed.
After driving 23 hours straight to Atlanta, I knew it would be a long time before I would return to Miami, if at all. Only 4 1/2 more hours up the road in Kentucky would await my family, community, and new career position. The timing couldn’t have been better. I needed a break from the solopreneur grind in a city that I had no family and no team. I was carrying everything on my back and it was exhausting. Despite how beautiful Miami is, I knew I needed a better balance in my life so I traded ocean views for stray chickens in my backyard. I gained a new church family at Mt. Zion, a personal trainer at Link Elite Training, and I was able to attend and even produce one of many milestone celebrations.

And this was only a fraction of my 8 months away from Miami! To expand on that new role I mentioned, I supervised a Business Development Center which supported dealerships nationally through receptionist call-handling, appointment setting, and customer service. My work did not go unnoticed as I was nominated for two awards this year! It’s definitely my season and I give all the glory to God, my Lord and Savior.
What’s next? Super Bowl LIV in Miami!!!
Since next year’s Super Bowl is being hosted in our backyard, I’m working diligently to be an on-the-ground ambassador for Miami. My goal is to serve as a connector between exclusive venues, automotive brands, lifestyle products, and pro-ahletes. To move this initiative forward, I will be curating VIP events and providing talent booking and lifestyle concierge services. I look forward to sharing more over the next few months!
I invite you to submit your events to my event calendar so I can support your movement!
Before I sign-off, I want to share a resource to support Hurricane Dorian relief efforts: https://headknowlesbahamas.com.
